After a video of two school children crossing an improvised rope bridge in Iligan City went viral, the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) made plans to build a bridge to ensure their safety.
Sec. Mark Villar’s media officer stated that “short-term and long-term” bridges were being planned. The DPWH stated that they were awaiting possible designs along with clearance from Local Government Units.
