Exclusive - Duterte Shares Conversation With Trump, Says Us President-Elect Supports War On Drugs

In a phone conversation with the United States of America’s President-elect Donald Trump, Philippime leader and anti-drug extremist President Rodrigo Duterte confirmed that Trump supports his war.

According to Christopher Go, Duterte and Trump had an “engaging and animated” chat on the phone, that he could sense a “good rapport” with the recently elected US president.

“The President-elect Trump wishes to extend his warmest regards to the Filipino people. And in just a few minutes, we were talking about a lot of things. He was quite sensitive also to our worry about drugs,” Duterte said of their conversation.

President Duterte said that Donald Trump supports the war on drugs, and in turn, Duterte assured him of the US-PH ties. He also claimed that Trump understood his handling of the problem, and his need to protect his country from the drug disease.

“It was a bit very encouraging in the sense that I supposed that what he really wanted to say was that we would be the last to interfere in the affairs of your own country,” he added.

Duterte also said that Trump invited him to visit New York City and Washington DC, and the Philippine president also invited him to the ASEAN Summit next year.
