Exclusive - Poe Willing to Oust De Lima! Wants Her to Explain Rise in Drug Trade Cases During Her Term as DOJ Sec

Things are getting more heated in the Senate.

After investigating and cross-examining two witnesses, namely drug lord Kerwin Espinosa and de Lima's former driver and lover Ronnie Dayan, Senator grace Poe wants Senator Leila De Lima to explain how and why the drug trade inside Bilibid rose during her term as Secretary of the Department of Justice. 

"It’s quite tough for her to be able to take a case against some of the allegations but let’s give her a chance. I don’t want to pass judgment right away,” Poe said.

Poe said De Lima should explain the allegations against her because it is both her right to defend herself and her responsibility to give an explanation to the public. 

When asked by the media if she is willing to oust De Lima if proven guilty of the cases filed against her, Poe answered, "You know that would be one of the hardest things to do but I think, ultimately, you’re accountable to the people that put you in office."

Both Poe and De Lima are members of the majority party in the Senate. As colleagues face off, things are getting more and more interesting in the Senate.
