Exclusive - A Whole New World: Farmer Discovers a Secret Hole-- What Lies on the Other Side Left Scientists in Awe!

In 1991, a local farmer from Vietnam discovered an entrance to Son Goong. But it was not until 18 years later, when British scientists explored the cave in 2009, that they finally saw the wonder that lay on the other side of the hole.

In Vietnam's Phong Nha-Ke Bang National Park, Son Goong or also known as "Cave of the Mountain River" is found. The giant cave situated about 500 km south of Hanoi, Vietnam's capital, was believed to have been created 2-5 million years ago.

According to the experts, the entire cave system is approximately about 139 kilometers long

The inside of the giant cave seems like a whole new world. The cave contains a rainforest, lakes, rivers and beaches.

It contains past relics such as rock wall paintings. However, nothing hugely significant has been discovered yet in the cave.

The first tour of the cave began in 2013. For $3000, visitors were toured around the cave for seven days, five nights of which are designated for camping.

Rare pearls can also be found inside the cave from calcium salts that formed layers around sand grains.
