A 15-year-old contestant of ABS-CBN’s “The Voice Teens Philippines” is surprising fans and coaches alike for her amazing singing talent – and her strikingly similar appearance to Kapamilya star Alex Gonzaga!
It can be remembered that Alex Gonzaga co-hosted the first (2013) and the second (2014-2015) season of the Voice Philippines and the first season of The Voice Kids (2014)
Angel Chloe Redondo, a resident of Calamba, Laguna, went on the Voice stage for the Blind Auditions segment where she sang the hit song 'Masterpiece' by Jessie J.
Her performance was a hit with the coaches as all four of them turned their chairs for Redondo.
Redondo was very thankful to all the judges and began weeping openly on stage.
Coach Sharon Cuneta was touched by the display and got off her chair. She walked towards Redondo then jokingly and warmly asked, “Can I hug you and then can you choose me?”
The Megastar then invited all the other coaches to over to support the Alex lookalike.
Afterwards, coach Bamboo asked who her inspiration was. Redondo answered that her family serves as her inspiration because they give her strength and hoped she could make them proud.
Coach Bamboo then offered his case on why he should be picked: “Sana we’re on the same page. Of you becoming tomorrow’s future star. Let me be a part of that. Let me help you out. Let me guide you through that.”
Coach Sharon said: “Lumaki yung boses ko nung mga 14 ako - pero I never ever ever had the power of your voice. I am so impressed sa kayang gawin ng boses mo. I want that voice on my team!”
Coach Lea said: “There is power and so much potential at yun talaga yung hinahanap namin ditto. So I hope you consider this pasilyo to walk on. Come this way! That voice is incredible!”
Coach Sarah: “Hindi ka sumigaw. Hindi ka nag-over sing. Ang gaan lang pakingan ng mga high notes mo. Yung power ng boses mo nandun na.”
Eventually Redondo chose to be a part of Coach Sarah’s team.
