Exclusive - She Was Called A 'Shifter' But Her Story Of Becoming A Degree Holder And Receiving Awards Worth Reading!

“Shifter.”

“Irregular Student.”

These words are full of stigma in the world of college.

Dearra Mae Tacsuan Canlas shared on Facebook how she faced it all as she traversed college from her first course, Medical Technology, to her final course, Tourism.

From disappointing her parents to successfully graduating, her story has everything you need for your inspirational fix.

When faced with the knowledge that she didn’t want to keep studying her second course, she said, “Nagtanong ako kay Lord kung dapat ko pa bang ituloy ng nakikita kong ganun ang outcome. Natatakot ako sa disappointment nila mama, ng buong angkan, ng mga kaibigan ko, ng ibang tao. Alam kong masasaktan sila. Pero sabi sakin ni Lord, "Bitawan mo na at tanggapin mo. Meron akong ibibigay na mas maganda sayo." Nabuo ang pasya ko.”

Landing on Tourism, she eventually finished her studies and is now one proud graduate.

“I am a Shifter and now I am taking off ready to for all the endeavors of life.  ?? ?? ??”
