Exclusive - WATCH: Alden Richards and Maine Mendoza Tie The Knot! Kalyeserye's Trending Wedding Dominates Twitter Worldwide!

The Philippine’s Noontime Love Team, AlDub, hit the social media world by storm as they exchanged their wedding vows in Eat Bulaga’s Kalyeserye on Saturday, October 22.

Maine Mendoza also known as Yaya Dub and Alden Richards finally exchanged their vows of forever with each other in Eat Bulaga’s Saturday episode. The wedding, which received blessings from Yaya Dub’s grandmothers Lola Nidora, Tidora and Tinidora, made Twitter history as it trended worldwide with the hashtag #ALDUBWedding. The said hashtag reportedly garnered 4.32M tweets even before the couple declared their wedding vows.

When the couple said their “I do’s”, the church erupted with the screams and cheers from the crowd.

Yaya Dub’s father, Daddy Dods, and Alden Richard’s grandmother, Lola Babah, were also present to witness the sacred union. 

24 Oras news anchor Mike Enriquez and Tito Sotto’s wife acted as the couple’s wedding sponsors.

The whole Eat Bulaga Dabarkads, together with Jake Ejercito and Rodjun Cruz, acted as the newly-wed couple’s guide throughout the course of their marital relationship. Ryzza Mae Dizon and Bae-by Baste were also a part of the wedding, with Kuh Ledesma performing as the wedding-singer. The wedding’s magic was intensified when Kuh sang “when I Fall In Love”.

The trending wedding started as a simple love story when the couple met each other via split-screen on July 2015. From the day they met each other until the day they promised to stay together forever, the Filipino citizens kept themselves glued to their romantic relationship.

Every relationship has trials to surpass. Many fans remember Lola Nidora’s challenges opposing the AlDub love team. There was even a time when Yaya dub was supposed to marry Frankie, who was endorsed to her by Lola Nidora. Luckily for Alden, during Frankie and Maine’s supposed wedding, she lost consciousness which made Eat Bulaga’s staff to bring her to the nearest hospital.

Despite the trials, the phenomenal couple proved that genuine love can surpass all. After the couple was declared husband and wife and were about to make their first marital kiss, Lola Nidora fell unconscious which called for the attention of everybody.

However, when Lola Nidora regained consciousness, the couple continued the kiss, overwhelming the witnesses with joy.
